Pureety Hits the Gold Standard in Marinades
Gourmet marinades and seasonings producer Pureety has been awarded twice by Grocer Magazine for its achievements in own label supply & product development.
The Grocer’s Own-Label Food and Drink Awards were held on the 13th May and two products that Pureety lent its culinary expertise to creating scooped awards from the prestigious publication.
The Wesham-based company achieved the Cooking Sauces—Traditional Gold Award for Lidl Batts Quick Marinade Pouches, designed to quickly and masterfully coat meats, fish and vegetables in a delicious glaze in mere minutes. Expert judges commented, “The pouch format marinade hit the nail on the head with its convenient, low price point and trendy flavour.”
Consumers also brought in positive feedback for the innovative product, further emphasising how the marinade “coated meat well, giving an authentic smoky flavour without being too overpowering.”
Pureety’s partnership with one of Aldi’s supply partners helped to create the Aldi Deli Chicken & Bacon Pasta Salad also garnered acclaim, winning silver for the Deli Salads category.
The Own Label Awards, now in their 11th year, reward the most outstanding products in the private-label market. All entrants receive a consumer report conducted by Cambridge Market Research—an independent market research company with more than 30 years’ experience in testing food and drink products—and finalists are supplied with a gold, silver or finalist logo to tell their customers how great a product is.

Voted for by consumers and judged by experts, the Own-Label Awards not only show how delicious these products are, but they are a testament to the creativity and industry insight Pureety has.

Puréety Gourmet Foods was established in 2009 by former Executive Development Chef Gareth Pearson. It started from his kitchen table with his own creative blend of innovative recipes to provide something new in the market place that would instantly add a depth of flavour to well-known and easy to cook dishes. The concept being to make life easier at meal times.
The company has grown year on year since 2009 and now has a multimillion pound turnover and a host of well know national, regional and local retailers as its clients. It moved offices in 2014 to accommodate new staff members to help manage the ongoing growth of the company.
Gareth Pearson, the Managing Director, was the youngest pastry chef ever to be part of the team that saw Nigel Haworth awarded a Michelin star when he was at the age of just 19, following on from his success at age 18 when he was awarded Student Chef of Europe.
