Peri Peri Chicken Goujons

Ingredients
2 x Chicken breasts
1 x Pureety Peri Peri Sachet
200gm x Breadcrumbs
2 x Egg (Yolks only)
150gm x Plain flour
1pint x Vegetable oil
50ml x Milk
Preparation
Firstly pre-heat the vegetable oil in either a deep fat fryer or a thick bottomed pan to 180C.
Next slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and place into the plain flour ensuring all sides are covered by the flour.
Then place the egg yolks in a bowl and add the milk and whisk until well combined.
Move the chicken pieces from the flour (shaking well) and place into the egg mixture.
Then remove the chicken from the egg mixture and place into the breadcrumbs ensuring all sides are well coated.
Cooking Method
To cook the dish, remove the chicken pieces from the breadcrumbs and place into the hot oil. (Take extra care here as the oil will be very hot and may cause burns!).
Meanwhile pour the contents of the Pureety Peri Peri sachet into a small saucepan and gently heat over a medium/low heat.
When the chicken goujons have turned a golden brown colour they will be cooked and should be removed from the heat and placed on a piece of kitchen paper to drain of any excess oil.
Next place the goujons on a serving plate and pour over the Peri Peri sauce.
This dish is excellent served with a salad or French fries and shared!
