Spicy burgers with a tomato, smoked chilli and blossom honey relish
Serves
4
Ingredients
500gm x Minced beef
1 x Red chilli (Deseeded and finely chopped)
1 x Pureety Smoked Chilli and Blossom Honey sachet
2 tbsp x Chopped coriander
250gm x Cherry Tomatoes (Off the vine, and sliced in half)
4 x Burger buns
Preparation
Pre-heat the oven to 180 C
Combine the minced beef in a bowl, with the chopped chilli and coriander, and mix well.
Divide the mixture up into 4 equal portions, and mould into round, flat burger shapes.
Next in a small saucepan, gently fry the halved cherry tomatoes for about 2-4 minutes, and add the Pureety Smoked chilli and Blossom Honey sachet, and simmer for a further 2-4 minutes, or until the cherry tomatoes are just breaking down.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Cooking Method
In a frying pan, heat up a little oil over a medium heat, and fry each of the burgers until browned on one side.
Place the burgers in the oven for 8-10 minutes until cooked.
To serve, place the burgers on the buns, and spoon over a generous amount of the tomato, smoked chilli and blossom honey relish.
(These burgers are also excellent cooked over a barbeque for an extra smoky dimension to the dish!!!)
